In the Under 18 Premier Division, Mt Evelyn suffered their second loss on the trot, going down to top of the table Blackburn as the Panthers lead at every change to record a comfortable 74 point win over the disappointing Rovers.
In the Under 16 Premier Division there was better news for the Rovers as they registered a tight win over neighbour Montrose. After a scoreless opening term from both sides, Montrose held a lead of only goal heading into the major break. Things began to swing Mt Evelyn’s way in the third term, and despite a scoreless final term they were able to hold on.
In the Outer East Division, Healesville registered a comfortable win over Seville. A goalless first half from Seville really set up the win for Healesville. Yarra Glen also registered a comfortable win, this time over Olinda – Ferny Creek. Olinda Ferny – Creek didn’t score a goal until the final term, but by then the margin was well over fifty points.
Although Upwey Tecoma’s final score wasn’t huge, they did manage to keep Emerald goalless for the entire match and get the chocolates.
Special mention to Madeline Sikorski, who kicked six goals in Healesville’s big win, and to Paris Saunders, who kicked five goals in Yarra Glen’s big win.
In the Under 14 Outer East Division, Healesville went completely scoreless as Olinda Ferny registered a comfortable 50 point win.
Going scoreless until the final change really hurt Jetstream, as they couldn’t close the margin in the final quarter against Belgrave.
Emerald also found it tough on the scoring front, only managing one goal against Monbulk, with the Hawks getting the job done easily.
In the Under 12 Outer East Division, Healesville, Belgrave Black and Mt Evelyn all registered wins.
