In 2023, Beaconsfield will be looking to win a few more matches, following a three-win & a draw 2022 campaign.
They will be looking to replicate their early 2022 form in 2023, which saw them defeat Mt Evelyn, with two very close games against quality opponents in Monbulk and ROC, who finished the season 4th and 3rd respectively. The Monbulk game was a narrow 4 goal loss, whilst Beaconsfield did exceptionally well to draw with ROC.
They had to wait until Round 15, against Pakenham, for their second win, which saw Zara Treweek, Regan Brokenshire and Suzie Bourchier score 14,12 and 11 respectively. Gabrielle Stinear and Jordan Lang were dominant.
They struggled for the next few rounds but ended the season on a positive note, defeating Upwey Tecoma 46-43.
Bourchier, Treweek and Brokenshire all scored double figures again, getting the team over the line with Utber putting in a great performance.
The main space for improvement for Beaconsfield in 2023 is team defence, as they conceded 49 goals per game last season.
The standout players for the year included Bourchier, Lang, Stinear, Treweek, Quinn and Utber.
Beaconsfield had one representative last year in Team of the Year which was Stinear.
After a more competitive 2022 campaign than the ladder represented, Beaconsfield look to win a handful of games in 2023 and climb a couple of rungs on the ladder.
