2025 Board Announcement

Outer East Football & Netball wishes to inform all members of the OEFN community of changes to the board for season 2025.

Firstly, we would like to welcome and introduce our new Board Chair Mark Sargent. Mark has been on the Commission/Board for 10+ years, brings a wealth of regional experience – both in business and sporting connection, as well as a keen interest in working collaboratively with our clubs for the good of the competitions under our auspice.

Mark is a successful community builder having managed not for profit roles in the sports, recreation, camping, childcare and social justice sectors. Mark is an experienced CEO and company secretary, having led YMCA Services Australia for some 15 years before retiring in 2020. Mark brings his wealth of knowledge and significant skill set to the role and we look forward to him leading the way as Chair of Outer East Football Netball into the future.

Long standing board member Lauren Bourke is Mark’s Vice Chair and other Board members remain as Ryan Ford, Josette O’Donnell and Holly Simmons.

A new addition to the Board is Steve White who brings with him key skills in leadership and stakeholder management. Steve is a current member of Victoria Police, has a strong understanding of the region and a background in local sport having been an umpire and taken lead roles in judicial panels across community sport – welcome Steve.
