Outer East Football Netball welcomes the Hallam Football Netball Club
Following a recent SGM, the senior clubs of Outer East FN voted 19- 3 in favour of Hallam’s admission into Outer East Football Netball for season 2023 and beyond. As per the league’s constitution, a Senior club requires over 50% of clubs to vote in support to gain entry. The Outer East board abstained from voting on the matter, with its position that Hallam’s entry should be gained through majority support of its senior member clubs.
Chairman Tony Mitchell welcomed Hallam, who join as senior Football/Netball club number 24 for the 2023 Season “On behalf of Outer East Football Netball we wish to welcome Hallam Football Club to our competition. After several meetings driven by the Hallam FNC, we are pleased to announce their inclusion into Division One of our competitions. The club is keen to grow and develop its youth and will be a welcome addition.”
With the SFNL approving the transfer yesterday, Hallam FNC have now been formally accepted to join the OEFN Division One competition from season 2023 and beyond. Beaconsfield Netball has been dropped to Division One and will be paired with Hallam in season 2023, removing the bye from Division one, making that an 8 club competition. Berwick Netball has been promoted to Premier Division and will play as team 10 in the Premier Division Netball Competition. Hallam’s women’s team will enter in Division 2 of the Outer East Womens Football competition.
Hallam Football club are excited about the new challenges that lay ahead in Outer East “we would like to thank all clubs for accepting our move and transition into the new league , we are really excited for a new challenge and we can’t wait to play some quality football against some very respectable clubs.
Playing at Hallam Recreation Reserve, Frawley Road Hallam, the club will launch a new look upon entering Outer East FN, with a new jumper and logo to be released in coming weeks.
