The Woori Yallock FNC have recently informed us that, regrettably, they are not in a position to field any netball
teams in the 2023 Season. We would like to thank their committee for their continual efforts and communication on
the matter and especially for informing us as early as possible of their situation.
As a result, there will now be a restructure of Netball in both divisions.
Premier Division
Beaconsfield NC will now move up from Division One to fill the void left by Woori Yallock in Premier Division. When a Premier Division club is fixtured away against Woori Yallock in football, the Netball teams will be fixtured against Beaconsfield. The football will play at Woori Yallock, the netball at Beaconsfield.
When a Premier Division club is fixtured at home vs Woori Yallock, you will host Woori Yallock in football and
Beaconsfield in Netball, both at the same venue.
Division One
Hallam FNC have also been working hard on securing netball players and are now in a position to field Netball teams alongside their
football ahead of time. With Beaconsfield moving up to Premier Division, this allows Hallam to enter their own Netball teams.
The club currently has players to fill two teams and will continue to work toward fielding three and hopefully four teams by Round One.
With no netball courts at Hallam Recreation Reserve, the club are negotiating to find a home venue for netball, within close proximity of the Recreation Reserve. We will be advising clubs of Hallam’s home venue for netball as soon as they lock one in.
We thank both Beaconsfield NC and Hallam FNC for their flexibility during this process, allowing us to fill what would have been a potential bye in one of the divisions.
