The recently completed Kilsyth Centre of Excellence (aka Kilsyth Recreation Reserve) was officially opened on the Friday 2nd of August as members of the local council, state and federal government descended upon the new AFL Outer East Headquarters.
The state of the art facility was built with funding from the AFL/AFL Victoria, State and Federal Governments and aside from becoming the headquarters for the newly formed AFL Outer East, it will also continue to be the home base for the areas local NAB League side, the Eastern Ranges.
The new and improved base provides players in the Eastern Ranges catchment area an elite training facility to help promote the region’s talented male and female footballers chances of reaching their full potential.
For the AFL Outer East it provides a more than adequate workspace to continue growing our netball and football.
Region General Manager Aaron Bailey thanked all involved with the project and is excited about the long term future.
