JUNIOR FINALS VENUES RELEASED

The AFL Outer East has announced the venues for all of its Junior Finals, which will see three different finals systems in place, two different Grand Final days and eight different venues.

The Under 11 and 12 Boys, along with the Under 12 and 14 Girls, will be playing a three week finals series, using a top four system. 

This system sees the first placed side take on second, with the winner gaining free passage to the Grand Final and the loser playing the winner of third v fourth in a Preliminary Final. The winner of that clash will also find themselves in the Grand Final. 

The venues and dates for these competitions (Under 11 and 12 Boys, Under 12 and 14 Girls) are :

Week One (4/8) : 

Talaskia Road Reserve (Upwey-Tecoma Junior Football Club)

Belgrave Recreation Reserve 

Week Two (11/8) :

Belgrave Recreation Reserve

Week Three (18/8) : 

Belgrave Recreation Reserve 

The Under 14 Boys and Under 16 Girls will take in part in a four week finals series using a top five system. 

The team that finishes first on the ladder will be given the first week of finals off as the Second and Third placed side do battle in the Qualifying Final. Fourth and Fifth will play in an Elimination Final. 

The winner of the Qualifying Final take on the first placed side for a spot in the Grand Final in the Second Semi-Final, whilst the loser of the Qualifying Final play the winners of the Elimination in the First Semi Final.

The winners of the First Semi Final play the losers of Second Semi Final in the Preliminary Final. The winner will make the Grand Final. 

The Under 16 Boys competition will also play a four week final series, using the top eight system that is used in the AFL.
