AFL Outer East’s first interleague opponent has been announced, with the Bendigo Football Netball League (AFL Central Victoria) the one we do battle with.
AFL Victoria released the fixture for the 2019 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships to be held on May 18, earlier today.
Season 2019 will mark the fourth consecutive year of the WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships, with a total of 30 community football leagues opting-in to battle it out for the ultimate bragging rights.
The AFL Outer East’s clash with Bendigo is ‘Game 5’, with the Northern Football Netball League and the Geelong Football Netball League (AFL Barwon) facing off in ‘Game 1’ after the number one ranked side from 2018, the Eastern Football League pulled out of the competition.
Bendigo will host the game, with an exact venue still to be finalised.
