While the Outer East Divisions were in the first week of finals, the teams in the Premier Divisions of the Eastern Region Girls competition were battling it out in the penultimate round of the home and away season.
In the Under 18s, Mt Evelyn had the bye while Seville went down to Heathmont.
Despite the fact that they were able to keep Heathmont scoreless after half time, Seville’s scoreless first quarter left them with too much work to do.
In the Under 16s, Mt Evelyn had a comfortable win over Ferntree Gully. Mt Evelyn kept Ferntree Gully scoreless on the way to a strong 43 point win.
In the Under 16 Outer East Qualifying Final, it was Healesville who were victorious and will go on to take on Yarra Glen(Jetstream) for a spot in the Grand Final next weekend.
The margin was only four points at the last change, but the Tigers were kept scoreless in the final term to see Healesville take the win.
Madeline Sikorski kicked three goals for Healesville, while Amy Fox kicked two goals for Upwey Tecoma.
In the Elimination Final, it was Emerald who were victorious over Seville, and will take on Upwey Tecoma next weekend.
Although the margin was only 19 points at half time, Seville had not scored. Emerald then had a sox goal to three second half to run away with the all important victory.
For the victors, Molly Webb and Saige Van Haren kicked four goals each, while Hayley Marshall chipped in with one. Meanwhile for Seville, Courtney Scott, Kristy Michael and Kylinda Alice each kicked one goal.

In the first semi final, Mt Evelyn were able to win by seven points over Monbulk.
Monbulk had the lead by seven points at quarter time, but by half time the margin was the back to just one point, with the Rovers winning the second term. The scores were dead even at the last change, and a one goal to none last term saw the Rovers book a spot in the next stage.
Speaking after the game Mount Evelyn Coach Glenn Burton praised his sides ability to fight it out til the end.
“It was a quality game of football between two really good sides which could have gone either way right up to the end,”
“Monbulk got the jump on us early in the first quarter but to our girls credit, we fought back to be on level terms midway through the 2nd,”
“From there on it was a seesawing battle with the ball going from end to end and fortunately for us we got our noses in front with a few minutes to go and managed to hang on.’’
Mt Evelyn’s goal kickers were Georgia Hindmarsh, Ava Garthwaite, Sherice Oliver, Hunter Daniels and Bridie Burton, while Monbulk’s goal kickers were Ruby Ross, Lily Judd, Georgia Knight and Caitlin Utting.
Meanwhile in the other semi final, Emerald comfortably beat Olinda Ferny Creek.
Olinda Ferny Creek were kept goalless all afternoon, and the only score they did get was two points in the opening term.
Mackenzie Bourne kicked both of Emerald’s goals, while Abbigail Rabot, Caitlin Ellis and Taylah Grace were among the best players in the win. Ella DeCorrado, Kyah Barry and Maeve Leonard were among the best players for Olinda Ferny Creek in what was a very tough afternoon.
These results see Mt Evelyn secure a place in the Grand Final and a week off, while next weekend Emerald will take on Monbulk.
The first semi final of the Under 12 Outer East Division was an extremely low scoring affair between Belgrave Black and Mt Evelyn.
The only scores for the entire game were the two behinds Belgrave Black scored in the second term, which meant they got the win.
In the second semi final, Healesville defeated Yarra Glen.
The margin was only eight points, but Yarra Glen were kept scoreless for three quarters, which did not help their case at all.
For Healesville Brylee Anderson kicked two goals and Paisley Stock kicked one, while Chloe Morris was Yarra Glen’s only goalkicker, with two.
