The AFL Outer East is excited to release a new Emerging Talent Academy for 13 Under and 15 Under netballers.
The Emerging Talent Academy will run for a nine-week period between November 21, 2020 and March 15, 2021, pending current restrictions in place at the time.
The program will be available in two locations, Valley and South East, with 20 spots per age group, per location available.
The Valley Program will be based at Woori Yallock and the venue for the South East Program will be Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham.
The Academy offers an opportunity for the junior players within the League to return to the court following the year of limited netball that has transpired.
It also acts to provide a pathway program to the AFL Outer East Representative Teams between the end of one season through to the beginning of the next.
The AFL Outer East felt it necessary to fill this gap with a program that allows athletes to develop their individual skills in a high-performance simulated environment.
The program is not just for players wishing to play representative netball, but for players aspiring to become better netballers, with the opportunity to focus on their own skills outside of their regular training sessions.
The cost, which is partially funded by the AFL Outer East, will be $150 per participant which includes a training top.
