AFL Outer East
Position: Head Coach – Boundary Umpiring 2020
- Emerald / Lilydale Training Facility
We are looking for a Coach to head up our Boundary Umpiring Division in AFL Outer East
- Advise Boundary Umpires involved in AFLOE matches of all aspects of their duties using the following as a base from which to work;
- Information contained in Level 1 & 2 Accreditation Courses
- The Laws of Australian Football
- Playing conditions etc., as set down by the EFL from time to time
- 2020 Umpires Guidelines Booklet
- Prepare a program and conduct Coaching sessions on Wednesday nights (6.00pm) or have other coaches present those sessions.
- Conduct specific training drills to assist umpires with the learning what is expected of them whilst carrying out their duties
- Appoint Boundary umpires to all scheduled Games on a weekly basis throughout the season and ensure they are entered into Schedula by 12pm on the Tuesday prior to that weekends’ matches
- Observe Boundary Umpires in AFLOE matches played on a Saturday
This position requires that you are available every Wednesday at our training venue from 6pm to 7.30pm

- strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- basic computer skills
- level 1 or be willing to undertake a Level 1 Coaching Certificate
