Belgrave Junior Football Club are looking forward to the year ahead, where they hope to experience success across one of its teams.
The junior magpies will field teams in under 9’s, under 13 boys, under 14 girls, under 16 girls and under 17 boys where participation numbers and a motivation to play well has been strong.
Belgrave have particularly experienced a high number of younger boys returning to fill the under 13 side, which has made club president Paul Piaser pleased ahead of the season’s commencement.
“We have great numbers with our under 13 and 17 boys’ programs which has been impressive,” he said.
“We have interacted well with the senior club over the off-season, which our juniors have really benefitted well from.
“It’s been great to get off to a good start with participation numbers sitting at a constant level, but junior participants of all ages are always welcome at our club.”
The Magpies are keen to get out and have fun, but also have a firm eye fixated on success should the opportunity arise.
“Winning games and having success plays a key role in having fun, so it would be great if this could occur for us,” Piaser said.
“Regardless of this, I am positive that all teams eligible to make finals have the capability within themselves to achieve this.
“I am appreciative to our committee and the coaching staff for their efforts thus far over the pre-season, we are really anxious to get going, hence our excitement.
