The TAC Club Rewards Program is back for 2024, giving grassroots football and netball clubs the opportunity to earn a share in $600,000 in funding by participating in the mission to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on our roads.
As apart of the program, our clubs can take part and earn up to $10,000 in funding by promoting road safety in their community.
This year the focus is on tackling speeding.
Ideas of things you can do to get your club involved:
- Initiatives to raise awareness
- Film videos to post on social media!
- Ask people around your club what the fine is for speeding.
- During social events ask people how they’re getting home (i.e ride share, designated driver, carpooling).
- Get involved in a TikTok trend to promote the TAC message – keep an eye on our socials for some more ideas.
- Share TAC social posts on your social media
- Have someone around the club who works in the Police force? Get them to come and talk to the players about other road safety messages like drink driving, drowsy driving, distractions, vehicle safety, and young drivers.
- Late-lap-a-thon – Who is always late at your club? get people around the club to do the late laps for them so people can get to training without feeling the need to rush
- Want to take it a step further? Film all the late laps your club does for those who are late and make sure the whole team/club gets involved.
- Get as many people at your club to complete the TAC’s 2024 road safety survey
