The final round of the Eastern Region Women’s competition home and away season is already upon this. While most of the Outer East teams have secured their place in their respective finals, there’s still plenty to play for in this final round of the season.

Premier Division
Bayswater vs Mt Evelyn
The equation is a simple one for Mt Evelyn this weekend – win and they are in the finals. If they lose, they need Chirnside Park to beat Vermont in order to secure their finals berth.

Recent history between these two sides is definitely in Mt Evelyn’s favour, as last time these two sides met it was a comfortable 50 point win to Mt Evelyn.

Division One
Norwood vs Upwey Tecoma
After last week’s massive win, Upwey Tecoma will be looking to build on that this weekend and fine tune their game before the finals next weekend.

This match is a little bit of a dead rubber, as Norwood can’t make finals, and Upwey Tecoma can’t miss the finals. In saying that, Upwey Tecoma can still take second spot, depending the encounter between Knox and South Croydon.

Last time these two sides met, back in round seven this year, it was a 43 point win to the Tigers.

Outer East
Belgrave vs Thornton-Eildon
If last weekend’s results had gone differently, this game could have been a lot more season defining. Unfortunately for Belgrave, even if they do win, they will still finish half a game behind Thornton – Eildon and just miss out on finals.

For Thornton – Eildon, they will be looking to build momentum that began with last week’s win and take it through to finals.

These sides have met twice this season, and the win/loss ledger stands at one win apiece.

Upwey Tecoma vs Yarra Junction
There’s not really much to play for in this game. Yarra Junction will be looking to iron out their game before finals whilst Upwey Tecoma will be looking to finish a disappointing season on a high.

Yarra Junction have won both times these sides have met this season.

Healesville vs Monbulk
These two sides have been the teams to beat all year, and it’s a bit fitting that the Outer East home and away season finishes with a battle of these two sides.

Healesville have not lost a game all year, while Monbulk’s only loss so far this year came against Healesville, in their meeting earlier this season.

Although there may not be much to play for in this game, top spot is on the line. Depending on the margin, if Monbulk do win they can take top spot.
