2020 Return to Training Protocol & Date Update

Please find below a statement from RGM – Aaron Bailey on the Return to Train Protocols & Dates:

“Clubs today have received AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria’s return to training protocols. AFL Outer East is meeting with all clubs tomorrow night, Wednesday 20th May, to assist clubs with the process of implementing the protocols within that document.

To ease the burden on our volunteers, coaches, trainers and committees, we advise that suspension of all club sanctioned training remains in place until at least Sunday 31^st May. This will allow clubs time to review, discuss and implement the guidelines and protocols.  5 days places unnecessary additional burden on clubs amongst an already challenging backdrop. This will also allow us to run education sessions for coaches next week, to ensure a safe return environment for all participants.

AFL Outer East is working with clubs and councils and will soon provide clarity around return dates and a road map back to football and netball. Clubs are being consulted on this key area over the next week, with announcements following  Sunday May 31st.”
